A snapshot of food fraud events in Australia/NZ (2016)


2016 was witness to a number of food fraud incidents in Australia and New Zealand. The fourth edition of the Food Fraud Report Australia and New Zealand provides a snapshot of the oft-reported incidents throughout the year, including the largest global seizures reported by Europol/Interpol Opson V (March 2016); oregano; pine nuts; honey; prawns and other foods identified as vulnerable to food fraud. Specific and systematic approaches are required to prevent food fraud and protect the health and safety of consumers.
